Help with downloading your book
This page provides a guide to how to get my books onto your device. It's intended to help out if you're not sure what retailer to buy from, or you're concerned that buying from a specific retailer will leave you with a file you can't use.​ It's also intended to help out if you've bought a book and are having trouble getting it onto your device.

Just scroll to the kind of device you're using (iphone, android, mac or windows) to check out the options available and the steps involved.

iPHONE/IPAD
Direct from Jack
Once you've paid you'll be directed to a download page (and emailed the link to the download page for future reference). Download the book onto your device. Open it, and choose Apple Books as the app to open it with.
Smashwords
Once you've paid, go to your Smashwords library and download the book onto your device. Open it, and choose Apple Books as the app to open it with.
Google Play Books
Get the Google Play Books app on your device. When you buy the book it will appear in the app.
Apple Books
Buy it on the Apple Books store and it should appear in the Apple Books library on your device. (Note: it's usually more expensive to buy it on Apple Books than elsewhere)
ANDROID
Direct from Jack
Download any e-reader app you want. After you've paid for the book you'll be directed to a download page (and emailed the link to the download page for future reference). Download the book onto your device. Open it, and choose the e-reader app you want to open it with.
Smashwords
Download Aldiko from the Google Play App Store. After you've paid for the book, go to your Smashwords library and download the book onto your device. It should appear in the app.
Google Play Books
Get the Google Play Books app on your device if you haven't got it already installed. When you buy the book it will appear in the app.
MAC OS
Direct from Jack
Once you've paid you'll be directed to a download page (and emailed the link to the download page for future reference). Download the book onto your device. Open it, and choose Apple Books as the app to open it with.

After you've paid for the book, go to your Smashwords library and download the book onto your device. Open it, and choose Apple Books as the app to open it with.

Once you've bought the book go to your Smashwords library and download the book onto your device. You can read in any browser, or download any e-reader app you want to read it on.
Google Play Books
Add the Google Play Books extension to Google Chrome, and you can read your book in the Chrome browser.

Indie authors don't make much from selling books, so please don't steal from them; if you do it means people who are trying to make a name and career for themselves will be unable to.
